Economic Development

• Enid is served by US Highways 60, 412, 64 and 81 (all four lane highways).
• Interstate 35 is 28 miles east and Interstate 40 is 60 miles south of Enid.
  
• I-35 extends north to Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Minnesota and south to the Texas/Mexico border.  I-40 runs continuously from the east coast to the west coast.

• The Cimarron Turnpike (US412 and US60) extends from Tulsa and the Arkansas River Navigation System to the Northwest Passage (Oklahoma City to Colorado corridor). The Chisholm Trail (US81) stretches from Kansas to Texas paralleling and providing relief for I-35.

Air

• Enid is served by Enid Woodring Regional Airport located just 7 miles east of downtown. The airport is an all-weather, tower controlled, instrument landing facility capable of handling up to Boeing 737 aircraft. The asphalt runway is 6,398 ft. long and 150 ft. wide.
  
• Enid Woodring Regional Airport is served by Great Lakes Airlines, which provides flights daily to Denver International Airport. Northwest Aero Services also provides air charter services out of Enid.
  
• Airport services include a restaurant, numerous hanger facilities, avionics maintenance facilities, FAA Repair Stations, flight school, air taxi and aircraft rental.
  
• The nearest commercial airport is Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City. 

Rail

• Two major rail carriers, Burlington Northern/Santa Fe and Union Pacific provide effective service to and from Enid, linking the area to the west coast and Pacific Rim as well as to the NAFTA corridor to Mexico.
  
• Amtrak passenger service is available from Oklahoma City to Ft. Worth. 

Water Transportation

• Connection to the Arkansas River Navigation System is via the Cimarron Turnpike. 
  
• The Port of Catoosa is 129 miles or two and one-half truck hours from Enid.  The Port of Muskogee is 175 miles or three and one-half truck hours and Johnston’s Port 33 is 121 miles or two and one-half truck hours east of Enid.
