- Enid and Garfield County has focused on adding primary sector jobs in recent years. The county's major employers exemplify our diverse business climate (See Major Employers section).
- Average wages in most job categories are slightly lower than in Oklahoma's two primary metropolitan areas. Oklahoma wages are lower than the national averages.
- Enid offers superb training and education facilities with Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Northern Oklahoma College supporting Enid campuses and Autry Technology Center is one of the state's premier technology schools.
- Enid has minimal unionization. Oklahoma ranks 13th lowest in the percent of all workers who are union members. Approximately 7% or less of the Garfield County workforce is unionized.
- Oklahoma is a Right-To-Work state.
